Since this time of year naturally cultivates a desire to go within, it’s a great time to begin or deepen your self-love practice. Here are a few ideas on how to fall in love with yourself this fall.

The reason I am so incredibly passionate about self-discovery is because for years I lived a lie, a life for others and in doing so I lost a part of myself, a HUGE part. One day I woke up and realized I was miserable. I did everything I was “supposed” to by society’s standards - went to college, worked my way up in my chosen profession, made a good salary, and lived in a fabulous San Francisco apartment. From the outside in, it appeared as if I had everything, but from the inside out, I was screaming, a silent scream nobody could hear but me. I ended up taking drastic measures - quit my job, walked away from life as I knew it and bought a one-way ticket to Bali.
