HOW TO CREATE A MINDFUL MORNING
This past Labor Day weekend stands out as exceptionally great. I started off this week feeling unusually refreshed and peaceful. The weekend consisted of the perfect balance between play, productivity and rest. I danced, unleashed my inner artist, wrote and connected with friends. Nothing out of the ordinary, yet it was wonderful.
7 Ways to Practice Radical Self Love
It always comes back to self-love. We are the one person we will spend our entire lives with, yet we put others happiness before our own. Our partners, our families, our friends and even our employers.I see this time and time again. Especially with woman. We are natural givers. We have a tendency to say yes to everyone except ourselves. At the end of the day we are left depleted with no energy to do the things we really desire
Love & happiness exists within: it all begins with you.
Love is in our nature. We want to love and to be loved in return. The problem? When love is used as a scapegoat. When people believe finding love, finding their perfect partner will solve the unhappiness and discontentment they feel. I’m guilty of this too. I spent years searching for love in all the wrongs places. Creating romantic relationships out of thin air and desperate for happiness.
A loving way to help you befriend your inner gremlins
Brazil's Archbishop Dom Holder Camera pointed his hand into the air, then slowly arched it around, until it turned on himself, his index finger pointing to his heart. "I am my own worst enemy," he said, "my most difficult adversary. Here I have the greatest struggle for peace." As humans we all struggle with this.
Why chasing the feeling is more powerful then the goal
Living your best life happens when you live in alignment with your true desires, values and authentic self. When you let go of the shoulds and thrive in the magic, creation and manifestation of your dreams. I’m an advocate of setting and achieving goals to move forward in life and towards the direction of your dreams, but I think goal-setting strategies are flawed.
Moments That Changed My Life & Can Change Yours as Well.
I have transformed my life over the last few years. It seems like a lifetime ago when I think of the woman I was before. Her life was very different than the life I live today and now looking back she seems like a stranger. Transformation is a process and takes time, but simple decisions can have a life changing impact. The decision to go to that yoga class, to read that book, or to take that trip.
DON’T "SOMEDAY" YOUR DREAMS. LIVE THEM NOW.
I feel pressure to be the perfect model for my clients, but the reality is I’m human too. I’m always fighting my own battles, working on my own self-growth and overcoming my own “shit”. Here’s a peak into my own process…
Discover Clarity in Three Simple Steps
Recently I dusted off my journals and as I read the pages of my past I was reconnected to the woman I was. I was lost, stuck and I felt alone, but most of all, I couldn’t shake this feeling, this knowing that I was meant to be doing something else.
Back to Basics: Enjoying the simplicity of every moment.
Recently I stumbled across a yoga class called Ocean Stretch. The class was simple and focused on the basics – the breath, inhale, exhale, downward dog, knees, chest, chin.Something unexpected happened, I enjoyed the simplicity of the class. Slowing down created the space for me to practice with ease and joy. I felt more grounded and connected than I had in a yoga class in a long time.
Why I quit my job & moved to Bali
Two years ago today I quit my career and walked away from life as I knew it. A month later I was on a plane traveling around the world to Bali by myself. It was unplanned that I would launch my blog on the exact same day, but the universe loves serendipitous moments so here I am ready to share my story.
