7 Steps to get unstuck, gain clarity & live the life you dream.

I just returned from vacation so I’m feeling inspired to take action and make some changes in my life. Anytime I step outside my normal routine and the grind of life, space is created for my true desires to re-emerge. I love that the timing coincides with fall. The natural energy of the season is to go inward. It’s the perfect time to cozy up by a fire, create vision boards and get clear on what you want in your life.

There’s no better time than the present to start living the life you dream. You don’t need to wait for the New Year to create resolutions. You can start today.

"You are meant to have an amazing life!

You are meant to have everything you love and desire. Your work is meant to be exciting, and you are meant to accomplish all the things you would love to accomplish. Your relationships with your family and friends are meant to be filled with happiness. You are meant to have all the money you need to live a full, wonderful life. You are meant to be living your dreams - all of them! If you are want to travel, you are meant to travel. If you would love to start a business, you are meant to start a business. If you would love to learn to dance or learn how to sail a yacht or study Italian, you are meant to do those things. If you would love to be a musician, a scientist, a business owner, an inventor, a performer, a parent, or whatever it is you would love to be, you are meant to be it! "

{Rhonda Byrne The Power}

I believe this is possible and the life you deserve to live. It is my passion, my purpose to help you live this life.

Here is my 7 step formula for getting unstuck, creating clarity and living the life you dream.

Step #1: Know Thyself

If you don’t have a deep understanding of who you are you’ll continue to chase someone else’s dream. We’re influenced by our parents, peers, social media, television, etc. Everywhere we look there’s someone telling us how to live our lives. We think we should get a degree, work 9-5 and own a house. We think material possessions equal happiness so we buy, buy, buy. We’re chasing the American Dream. The problem is it’s not our dream. The first step in creating a life you love is to know yourself. Really get to know who you are. What do YOU truly desire? Not your parents, peers or partner, but YOU! What are your values? How to you desire to feel? What’s your personality type? What brings you joy? What’s your purpose? What did you want to be when you were a kid? Study yourself. Really get to know you.

Step #2: Get Clear!

Now that you have a deep understanding of who you are, time to get clear on what YOU want. We have all of the answers we need within us, sometimes you just have to create the space for them to come out.Look at every area of your life.1. Career2. Money + Finances3. Tribe: Family + Friends4. Love + Romance5. Play + Fun6. Health + Wellness7. Personal Growth8. Home + EnvironmentGo through each area separately and ask yourself what you want to have, be, and do in each area? What is the ideal? If you had a magic genie and could have anything, what would you have? Spend some time free-writing. Dream big. Don’t hold back. Be really honest.

Step #3: Be Specific!

Now that you have a list of desires it’s time to edit. If you’re new to this type of work I suggest starting small. Focus on 3-5 desires. Read through your list and notice what stands out. What makes you the most excited? Maybe it’s something that will take your life to the next level. We also want to edit out the "shoulds." We’re going to do this by tapping into how the desire feels in your body. Close your eyes and say the desire out loud. If it feels heavy there’s a good chance it’s a should. Ask yourself, “is this something I really want?” Listen. Trust your intuition. If the answer is no, cross it off your list. Now that you have an edited list, it’s time to get specific.I love using shopping for jeans as an analogy. You don’t walk into Nordstrom looking for jeans and ask the first sales person “One pair of jeans, please.” No. You go to the correct department, look for a specific brand, size, style and wash. When creating your life you need to be as specific as possible.I want to make more money is not specific. Neither is I want to lose weight. How much money do you want to make? What is your ideal weight?Create a sentence for each desire putting it in the present tense. I suggest using the format below.I am so happy & grateful that I make $100,000 a year.Do this for each of the 3-5 desires.

Step #4: Create

Now that you have a specific statement for each desire, put it all together to create a mega mantra.(Note: you can also add how you want to feel into your mega mantra.)Here’s an example:I am so happy and grateful that I am thriving, living in abundance and feel free.I am so happy and grateful that I make $100,000 a year.I am so happy and grateful that I traveled to Bali in April 2015.The next step is to create a vision board. Often in the form of a collage of images, a vision board is simply a visual representation of the things you want to do, be and have in life. A vision board is a powerful tool used to attract these things into your life and help keep them at the forefront of your mind.Collect images from the internet or magazines representing each desire in your mega mantra. Also, feel free to add any other images that stand out. Spend some time looking for images. Once you have the images create a collage with the images and write the mega mantra on the vision board. Hang the vision board + mega mantra where you see it daily and often.

Step #5: Reaffirm Daily

I recently saw a quote floating around on Facebook that said something along the lines of, “Do you know the difference between Millionaires and Billionaires? Billionaires read their goals 2x a day”.So often I see people do everything up until step #4 and then they lose steam, get busy, and start making excuses. It’s important to reconnect with your desires daily. Make it a routine. Do it in the morning, at lunch or in the evening. Do whatever works for you, but do it at the same time every day and create a habit out of it. I look at my vision board and say my mega mantra out loud every morning while I drink my coffee. It’s a routine. I do it naturally.

Step #6: Take Action!!!

This is the most important step and the one which often stops us in our tracks of moving forward in life. Taking action can often feel uncomfortable. When we start to take action, fear, gremlins, our self-saboteurs set in. Take action anyway. You can say, “I am so happy and grateful that I have met my soul mate”, while looking at an image of the perfect man all day every day. But if you don’t take action, Prince Charming won’t come knocking on your door.If you follow the steps above you’ll start to have inspired ideas. Listen. Trust. This is the Universe showing you the way. Once you have these inspired ideas, ACT!!!Also, there may be steps you know you should take, but they bring up a lot of fear. Take baby steps. Baby step, after baby step will get you moving forward.I can’t emphasize this enough. Listen, trust and take action!

Step #7: Practice Gratitude

It is important that while you manifest your dream life into existence that you stay living in the present moment and remain grateful for what you already have. Being grateful for what you already have will bring even more goodness into your life.
