How to reconnect to your intuition

In this blog post I'm going to teach you 5 simple ways to reconnect to your intuition.

There was a time in my life when I was desperate for change and looked everywhere for the “answer”. I saw a Therapist, talked to a Psychic, went to a Reiki healer, had a Life Coach, asked friends what I should do, and even asked strangers what I should do. I thought moving was the answer. I thought traveling was the answer. I thought quitting my job was the answer. I thought finding a boyfriend was the answer. and on and on my search went... I was so busy looking outward and waiting for someone to tell me what to do that it never occurred to me that I already knew.  Once I turned my gaze inwards I started to find my way.

Each of us holds the answers within ourselves. They're not out there. They're not something to seek. They already exist within us. We just need to learn to listen.

Have you ever made a decision based on your gut? Or heard wisdom that came from somewhere within? Or knew you needed to do something without knowing why?

These are all examples of our intuition communicating with us.Our intuition is our biggest asset. She is our internal guide. Always there to guide and help us find our way.“We always know which is the best road to follow, but we follow only the road that we have become accustomed to.” Paulo Coelho Everyone has the ability to access to their intuition, but most people aren't accustomed to listening to it. Listening to our intuition is something we must learn to do.

Here are 5 ways to reconnect to your intuition:

#1: Journal

I know, I know, I talk about journaling ALL OF THE TIME, but it’s an important tool for transforming your life and reconnecting to the inner guidance within.

#2: Ask

If you need her guidance, ask for it! I find that asking before I go to sleep works well for me, and she usually answers me in the early dawn.

#3: Listen & Trust

Once you ask, listen and trust. You’ll never hear the answers if you’re not listening. Also, trusting is key to following her guidance.

#4: Quiet Your Mind

With all of the noise of the world and our own inner chatter it can be  difficult to hear her, so devote some time to quieting your mind. Yoga, meditating, walks in nature (without headphones) are all great way to quiet your mind.

#5: Play & Create

The best of us comes out when we play, and your intuition is a part of the best of you, so play, laugh, and create.
