10 ways to live your dream life (instead of daydreaming about it!)

I get it. Dreaming of one life and living another. I've been there. Oh man, have I been there.

But here's the thing, your dream life is more attainable then you think it is. And it can happen A LOT sooner then you think it can. It doesn't have to be stuck in the someday world - it can happen now.

And I can't wait to show you how!

#1: Live (and know) your values

The soul wants what the soul wants - there's no denying that!Knowing you values is crucial to living YOUR dream life. Why? Because your dream life is rooted in your values. And once you identify your values you can begin bringing them into your life right now, today. Which will bring you closer to living the life YOU want.Your personal values are who you were. Not who you want to be or wish you were, but they are who you are at your core. If you're not living life aligned with your values there's a good change you're living life aligned with someone else's, and ultimately, living someone else's dream life - not your own.Once you identify your personal values (click here to learn how), begin living your values right away.

#2: Get support + share your dream

Surround yourself with people who believe in your dream and are big dreamers too. Whether it’s a Life Coach, a tribe of like-minded soul sisters, or your partner. These people will never steal your light or make you feel guilty. They'll be your cheerleaders and empower you to go for it! Find them, surround yourself with them and love them hard! And dream big with them!There's nothing worse than the dream thieves of the world - STAY AWAY FROM THEM AT ALL COSTS!

#3: Start the mornings right

The way you start your day has a huge impact on the rest of the day ahead and in turn your life. Starting each day on the “right side of the bed” can be life changing. Do you tend to start your day stressed, tired and frantic? Or are you calm, well-rested and stoked for the day ahead? To ensure you start your day off right, have a solid morning ritual in place. It may mean getting up earlier so you have time to exercise and journal before you go to work, or maybe you need to get up before the kids so you can have time to yourself. Regardless, find a way to start the day off feeling good, whatever that means to you.

#4: Take action!

Dreaming about your dream life means nothing without taking action. What steps can you start taking right away that will point you in the direction of your dream? They don't have to big huge leaps (but they can be) - small action steps will still move you forward. Take action now, today!

#5: Know yourself (& what you really want)

Knowing yourself is the foundation for living your dream life. It’s about knowing what YOU truly want. Not society, your family or your peers, but YOU. I can speak from first-hand experience here. I know how easy it is to get caught up in the rat race and live from a place of should. But knowing yourself, really knowing you will be liberating and life-transforming all at once.

#6: Befriend your gremlins

The voice in our head that tells us we can’t, we’re not good enough, or that we should do something, is what I like to call our inner gremlins, but also called our self-critic or saboteur. They’re always with us and there is no overcoming them, but learning how to identify them and not let them hold us back is key! #7: Say NO!!!

This is one of my favorites, SAY NO! For some reason our society believes saying no is a bad thing. This is not true. We say yes when something feels good and no when something doesn’t. It’s that simple. It’s OK to say no. I love the phrase, “If it’s not a hell yes, then it’s a no!”. Keep that in mind when making decisions. Ask yourself, “Does this serve me? Does this support my higher purpose? Is this aligned with my values and my dream life?” If the answer is no, then say no.

#8: Be grateful #everydamnday for what you do have!

If you want to attract more into your life (aka your ultimate dream life), you must become grateful for all of the blessings you already have. From the roof over your head, to the breath in your lungs, to the sun rising and setting, there is always something to be grateful for. Not only does practicing gratitude help us attract more into our life, but it’s a mood shifter too. Begin the practice of gratitude. You can practice gratitude while laying in your bed, brushing your teeth, driving to work, etc.

#9: You have a choice

Know that you always have a choice. From the thoughts you think, to your beliefs, to the actions you take, everything is a choice. If you desire more happiness, make choices that are aligned with your values. If you desire more money, make choices that are financially responsible. If you desire to lose weight, make choices that support a healthy lifestyle. YOU are in control of your life. Not your boss, not your friends, not your family, YOU!From this day forward intentionally make decisions that are aligned with your biggest best life. 

#10: Trust

And sometimes it all comes down to trust. Trusting that you are exactly where you need to be. Trusting that lessons you’re learning are needed to live your ultimate dream life.
